Shearling
How to care for a shearling coat?
Shearling is an exceptional natural material combining leather's suppleness with wool's warmth retained on the inside. Valued for thermal properties and longevity, it lends pieces timeless, protective appeal.
Like all leather, it requires careful maintenance to preserve suppleness and appearance over time.
Cleaning :
In case of stains, entrust garment to leather and shearling care specialist.
Protection :
Upon purchasing shearling jacket or coat, we recommend applying suitable waterproofing spray. Spray product onto dry garment from distance of approximately 30 cm, after testing on inconspicuous area. Repeat process every five to six months.
Moisture :
Exposure to water can damage shearling. If garment becomes wet, allow to dry naturally in open air, away from heat sources.
Storage :
At end of season, air garment before storing. Hang on hanger and store in micro-perforated non-woven garment cover in cool, dry place, away from direct light and heat sources. Avoid plastic covers, which prevent material from breathing.
