Wool
How to wash wool jumpers or garments?
Wool is a natural fibre renowned for its durability and thermal properties, allowing it to retain heat while remaining breathable. Featured in our jumpers, coats, suits or accessories, it holds an essential place in the SANDRO wardrobe.
We increasingly favour wool from more responsible sources, notably certified Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) or recycled.
Wool is a natural fibre that reacts very quickly to washing, and therefore requires special care.
Dry cleaning recommended :
To preserve your garment over time, we advise entrusting it to experts who will maintain its vibrancy.
Particularly for structured woven items like coats, jackets or trousers, washing is not possible due to risk of significant shrinkage and felting.
Ironing :
It is advisable to ask dry cleaner to only steam garment and/or use damp cloth if ironing is necessary on certain parts (such as collars or button plackets)
Washing :
Cold hand wash with suitable detergent, avoiding fabric softeners, is possible for certain knitwear garments. Wash inside out, without soaking.
Certain models can be machine washed in wash bag on very delicate special programme (maximum 400 rpm for spin cycle).
Drying :
Wring out gently without twisting and dry flat on towel, away from direct light.
