Silk

How to wash silk garments?

Silk is a precious natural fibre, renowned for softness, fluidity and subtle sheen. Fine and breathable, it offers elegant drape and exceptional comfort when worn.

Delicate by nature, silk requires attentive care to preserve beauty and shape over time.

Silk twill or crepe de chine, these natural and precious materials require special attention. They must be dry cleaned, or hand washed with utmost care.

  • Dry cleaning recommended :
  • To preserve your garment over time, we recommend entrusting it to experts who will maintain its lustre.

  • Washing :
  • Hand wash at maximum temperature of 30°C. We advise against leaving garment to soak.

  • Wringing :
  • Gentle and manual, it can be followed by rolling in towel to absorb moisture.

  • Drying :
  • Opt for air drying on hanger. Once dry, garment will have naturally stiffer and drier appearance.

  • Ironing and steaming :
  • Fibres will plump up thanks to moisture from ironing, and especially steaming. Fabric will thus regain its volume, softness and suppleness. We advise ironing and steaming garment inside out to avoid leaving marks.
