From her childhood in Morocco, Evelyne Chetrite has retained memories of the vivid colours that contrasted with the ochre earth of the villages, and of the simple, elegant white kaftans her mother used to wear. She also remembers the piles of impeccably crafted shirts in her grandfather's shop in Rabat; it was here that her love for clothes was born. This first fashion impulse was confirmed when she moved to Paris as a teenager; on the Parisian streets, her calling came to life.​ ​

She was a law student, but she sharpened her flair for fashion by working weekends in vintage shops, where she built up a circle of loyal customers who appreciated her selections. It was her meeting with Didier Chetrite that gave her the impetus she needed to finally establish herself as a designer. Together, the couple embarked on the Sandro adventure in 1984, and their first boutique opened on Rue Vieille du Temple, in the heart of the Marais. Success was immediate.​ ​

Her vision of femininity is the foundation of her work, favouring her preferred mode of expression – the masculine-feminine aesthetic – and imbuing the women she dresses with an undeniably Parisian allure. Evelyne envisions a wardrobe worn unequivocally by the urban woman who cultivates discretion, only to be more visible. Her style is informed by an almost innate precision, giving her that naturally cool air. Evelyne never holds back, on the one and only condition that she remains true to herself.​

Founder of Sandro Homme​

Ilan Chetrite joined the family fashion house and launched Sandro Homme in 2008. Since then, he has expressed his vision of the ideal men's wardrobe. A rational dreamer, he draws on his own reality to inspire each of his collections.​ ​ ​

Tailored suits, reworked vintage pieces, oversized coats and statement pieces make up his wardrobe.​

Each season, the studio led by Ilan presents a renewed universe, both personal and contemporary.
